Winter Sojourn

My chariot that took me on my winter sojourn to spend a week with my mother while Margi goes on a Quilting Retreat.    Not only do Mom and Margi get a week apart from each other, but Dave and I also get a week’s refresher; sometimes 24/7 can get to be a tiny bit much.

The flight was a quick one and I went from warm mid 70s to rainy, 49° Seattle weather.

My trip back started with the sun peaking out and then, once we took off, I was able to get a few pictures of the major Cascade Peaks:

Mount Baker, far to the north.

Mount Rainier, just to the southeast of Seattle.

Mount Saint Helens, further southeast of Seattle.   Unfortunately we flew right over Mount Adams, so I wasn’t able to get a shot from my window.

Mount Hood, just south of the Columbia River in Oregon.  There are more volcanos  in the Cascade Range, but our plane turned to head over eastern Oregon and away from the Cascades  going over the Grand Canyon on the way to a WARM Phoenix.
